My mission for the year is to find the true meaning of being an independent learner. I aim to make real-world connections within my field of interest and gain more confidence in public speaking and communication in a professional setting. I hope to gain insight into real-world encounters with individuals in the field of orthopaedic surgery, and determine if the field of sports medicine is something I am truly passionate about. Through ISM I would like to achieve independence by taking full responsibility for my learning and growth in my desired field. I hope that my participation in ISM will help me make an impact in my community, and the caliber of my work will inspire others to want to be apart of the program in the future.
